About Khalil
Khalil Al-Rahman Youssefi is a researcher specializing in swarm intelligence, swarm robotics, multi-agent systems, and autonomous robotics. He received his B.Eng. in Software Engineering from the University of Birjand in 2018 and his M.Eng. in Artificial Intelligence from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2020. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Information and Communications Engineering at Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, where his research focuses on coverage exploration for robot swarms in complex and unknown environments.
At Lakeside Labs GmbH, he works on swarm robotics, distributed multi-agent systems, and optimization methods for industrial applications. He has also been affiliated with the Institute for Networked and Embedded Systems at Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt since 2021, contributing to research on swarm robotic systems.
His research interests include swarm robotics, distributed multi-agent systems, and optimization for autonomous and networked systems. He is particularly interested in how intelligent collective behaviors can improve the resilience and adaptability of future cyber-physical systems and Industry 4.0 applications, and how such systems can be optimized to operate efficiently and at scale. His work also includes deep learning, deep reinforcement learning, image processing, and digital signal processing.
